LEF, Inc. uses YAG lasers for product marking and engraving. Marking is virtually permanent because it directly interacts with the substrate material. There are a number of effects which can be produced on the work piece. Laser marking technology is a permanent and flexible way to identify parts and can also be used to incorporate logos, serialized numbers and barcodes. These lasers are used in marking specifications in the automotive, medical and aerospace industries. Since the laser can accurately engrave characters as small a .010”, it can be used where other marking methods are impractical.
